Structural and technological modernization of the construction materials industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan: priorities, implementation mechanisms

This article found that structural and technological modernization of the building materials industry, designed to improve the production process, is essential to the social and ecologically-oriented competitive production and its effective functioning in the system of interregional and international division of labour. The authors propose the methods to overcome the industry’s raw material orientation, for efficient use of mineral resources for the production of high-quality, competitive products, the elimination of regional disparities. The authors considered the building materials industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and on the basis of the study, they conclude that structural and technological modernization of the industry of building materials is an essential prerequisite for the sustainability of socio-economic development of the region.
