The article evaluates prospects of formation of competitive coexistence of the Russian Federation territories which is the most important characteristic of evolution of territorial competition in the economic space of the XXI century. The authors analyzed the results of sociological poll of representatives of the authorities, business and scientific community of the Ural and Volga Federal Districts. The authors reveal positive and negative consequences of cooperation of the territories in the competitive economy.
