The article studies approaches to understanding of the essence of an educational cluster, the prerequisites of its formation in the Ivanovo region and the structure and mechanism of interaction of subjects inside a cluster. The author points out social, economic, scientific and educational advantages which may be obtained by the region due to such a cluster creation.
