The article focuses on the problems of the competitiveness of regional food market participants under conditions of Russia's joining the WTO. The article analyzes the consequences of customs reduction for the producers of agricultural output. It offers a classification of regional food market participants and levels of its functioning. The author elaborates and proposes a system of criteria to evaluate the competitiveness of market participants and methods of their evaluation. The paper singles out the main problems of functioning of regional food market participants.
