The article considers the main trends of sheep-breeding development in the Stavropol Krai (the Stavropol Territory). The consideration covers the features of sheep-smalls zonal placing, the mutton and wool producing, the efficiency level of sheep breeding in different climatic zones of the Krai. As well the article studies the branch’s strengths and weaknesses, its capabilities and potential menace to its development.
