In the article it is noted that relevance of a subject of research is connected with that provision of housing for citizens and creation of conditions for housing construction are the most important questions of local governments. The directions and methods of control over municipal real estate in the housing sphere are considered, the analysis of the indicators characterizing management of municipal housing stock in municipality "City of Kaluga" is carried out.
