Assessment of food security of the Southern federal district

In the article the assessment of food security of the Southern federal district is given. Indicators and criteria of regional food security are analyzed: level of food independence of the region, degree of satisfaction of physiological requirements of the population in the main food, level of economic availability of the food. On each indicator the criteria allowing in points to estimate level of food security as optimum, admissible or low are offered.
