In the article the results of the research of prospects of innovative development of the Penza region conducted in 2013 are presented On the basis of poll of experts information on such problems, as an assessment of level of development of innovations in the region, interest of subjects in innovative development, support of innovations and existence of barriers was received. The factors constraining innovative development are revealed. Tendencies and dynamics of development of innovative activity are analysed.
