In the article formation of revenues of the budget of Volgograd is analysed. It is established that the greatest volume of means arrives in local budgets for a tax on the income of individuals and to a profit tax of the organizations. As a result of the analysis authors came to a conclusion that development of small and medium business will allow to increase the volume of monetary receipts in the budget for both articles. In this research ways of support of small and medium-sized enterprises and improvement as a whole investment climate of the territory are considered.
