In the article practical experience of a choice of priorities of development of the industry in subjects of the Russian Federation within regional industrial policy is investigated. It is analyzed 26 system documents reflecting the priority directions of development of the industry as a whole in the region. The results of the analysis the author's technique of an assessment of priority of industrial development is offered.
