In the article the clustering of the regions of Russia on the level of GRP and the indicators characterizing degree of development of transport infrastructure is carried out. Six clusters are allocated, each of which is characterized by the current volume of GRP and a level of development of a transport network. Direct link between these indicators doesn't exist, and development of a certain strategy of the development directed on realization of their competitive advantages is necessary for each cluster of the regions.
