In the article the methodological issues of creation the scientific strategy of socio-economic development of the Arctic zone of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) are considered: determination of objectives and principles, rationale and methods for long-term priorities of the economic exploitation of natural resources and socio-economic development of the Arctic zone in a social market economy both on national, and on the regional levels.
