In the article the solution of a problem of classification of regions on level of innovative and reproduction functioning on the basis of the principles of mathematics and statistical comparison of the allocated variety of criteria is proposed. The indicators of productivity and efficiency of innovative activity are involved in calculations. The fundamental indicators, allowing to characterize balance and stability of a scientific and technical condition of territories in Central federal district the Russian Federation on the basis of which definition of extent of innovative and reproduction development of regions is carried out are defined.
