In the article the forecasting method of additional requirement in labor by types of economic activity is presented. The purpose of forecast is determination of requirement in labor in economy for the short-term period with the account the strategic directions of social and economic development in region. The method is approved on data of the Republic of Buryatiya, the short-term forecast according to three scenarios of regional development is presented.
