In the article the problems of structural and technological modernization of economy of the Republic of Bashkortostan are revealed. Updating of economy of the region on the basis of introduction in production of the latest scientific and technical developments and progressive technologies, implementation of effective structural shifts and the institutional transformations directed on economic growth, increase of competitiveness of economy of the Federation subject in interregional and international division of labor is shown.
