The article is devoted to research of the features of the process of market valuation of labor in low-old industrial cities depressed region. As object of the analysis the Ivanovo region being the typical region of this type is chosen. As theoretical and methodological basis of conducted research the author's concept and the results received during the analysis are necessary base for search of reserves of increase of efficiency of functioning of the organizations of the small cities and creation of conditions for strengthening of labor potential of this type of settlements.
