In the article the approaches to a choice of criteria and indicators of innovative activity are stated; need of the complex analysis of innovative development of economic systems for the purpose of an authentic assessment of its level, an orientation and intensity of dynamics is proved; the methodical provisions of an assessment of innovative development on the basis of interrelation and interdependence of indicators of innovative potential, innovative activity, innovative possibilities are offered, to an innovative susceptibility and efficiency of innovative activity.
