In the article the assessment of quality of life of the population (on an example of the Penza region), executed on the basis of the analysis of objective statistics, and also value judgment of the respondents received as a result of carrying out poll in 2012 is presented. The tendency of improvement of quality of life of the population on a number of indicators is revealed: to income level, structure of consumer expenses, level of security with housing. The factors containing growth of quality of life of the population are noted.
