Modern state of mechanical engineering of Chelyabinsk region: regional researches

In the article the main characteristics of mechanical engineering of the Chelyabinsk region in comparison with indicators across the Russian Federation and regions of the Ural federal district are considered. Tendencies of development of mechanical engineering of area and factors limiting it are revealed. The conclusion is drawn that the need of formation of competitive advantages of regional knowledge-intensive mechanical engineering as conditions of its competitiveness.
