In the article it is noted that in the basis of the economic growth of the any region is a paradigm of a sustainable development. The feature of the specified paradigm is the maximum accounting of social and ecological consequences of made economic decisions. Theoretical and practical value of studying of the features of the region development and definition of the indicators providing their steady functioning is shown.
