In the article on the basis of identification and classification of different types of clusters it is established that the firms entering into a cluster, during the interaction and competitive fight form a strongly pronounced innovative orientation of the activity therefore the infrastructure of economy of knowledge at the same time develops. On the basis of use of an agglomeration index of Allison-Glazer the technique of an assessment of development of innovative infrastructure in regions is offered. With use of a technique ranging of territories in the federal district on extent of development of similar infrastructure is made.
