Today many Russian regions try to redefine their own environmental behavior and to document their intention for improvements in this sphere. The article deals with the main ecology problems in Republic of Mordovia. The author analyzes the influence of the different spheres on the region's environment and forms the goals, objectives and principles of Republic of Mordovia ecology policy.
