In the conditions of economic modernization, the social infrastructure creates dynamical innovative space. Giving the public and not excluded goods, the social infrastructure becomes the defining factor of successful social and economic development and region functioning. In the work the analysis of functioning of regional social infrastructure in the conditions of economic modernization on the example of the Volgograd region is carried out.
