The characteristic of a modern condition and prospects of development of the food market of Russia is given. The analysis presented in given article, includes two components: the first part represents the review of a condition of the market of agricultural raw material (volume of manufacture, volume of export and import, volume of the market, results of realization of the State program, resource maintenance of an agriculture, etc.); the second part is devoted directly to the analysis of tendencies of development of the food market (a turn of trade by articles of food, structure of sales and quality of articles of food, consumer price indexes, the minimal set of food stuffs). The information base of the analysis was made by data of official Russian statistics.
