Ecological and ethnological concept of the depressive region development

The concept of depressive region is defined in the article. Depressive state is understood by the author as a social and economic phenomenon, the form of the adaptation to transformed economy conditions. Characteristic features of depressive regions are disclosed in this article. Regulation of depressive region’s development is proved on the basis of the ecological and ethnological concept.
