The article highlights the goals, objectives, characteristics and problems of constructing regional accounts in Russia. The estimation of the dynamics of macroeconomic indicators of regional accounts of the Republic of Mordovia is done. On the basis of these data by using statistical analysis techniques revealed the basic macroeconomic interrelations that determine economic growth in the region.
