Strategy of region development

The article presents the results of the analysis of socio-economic development of the Kirov region for compliance with the Concept of long-term socio-economic development of the Russian Federation until 2020, as well as methodological requirements to develop strategies for development of the subjects of the Russian Federation.
     It is shown that the strategy of development of the region as a whole conforms to the general direction of federal economic and social policy in the foreseeable future, but noted that the selected innovative scenario of 2020, may, in our opinion, be impracticable. Revealed some internal inconsistencies and drawbacks strategies, provided recommendations to address them.
