The article describes the technique of data processing information monitoring innovativeness administrative-territorial units of the subject of the Russian Federation. The possibility of using domestic and foreign experience in the assessment of readiness to innovate and the need to innovate at the subregional level. Particular attention is paid to algorithms for ranking and valuation indicators.
