Socio-economic development of mountain region of Dagestan

The article deals with the conceptual problems of development in mountain areas, the analysis of socio-economic conditions of mountain regions of Dagestan, identified factors that cause decline in living standards and stagnant economies, identified priority areas for development in mountain areas, it is shown that the development of mountainous areas requires an integrated approach and government plays an important role.
