Strategic direction of state regulation of social and economic development in macro-region

This article deals with modern forms of state regulation of social and economic development in Russia and studies the experience of federal programs implementation on the example of one of them, namely «The South of Russia» The article provides recommendations for improving regulatory framework and proposes to use an integrated application of different tools for strategic planning in conjunction with other measures to increase the efficiency of state regulation at the level of a macro-region
