Analysis of formation of competitive market of potatoes of region

The most important structural part of the agro-food market is the market for potato and its products. Creating competitive market potatoes is a necessary condition for Russia's population with food produced domestically. The article discusses the features of the functioning and development of the regional market of potatoes as part of nationwide, an analysis of market potatoes of the Pskov region and the North - West Federal District, the efficiency of product distribution, and methods of state regulation. Concluded the need for state support of agricultural producers, which should be selective, not to weaken market incentives and not to restrict free enterprise and competition in the potato market in the region.
