Realization of regional forest potential must be based on interconnection and complementarity of a number of component sectoral and regional-strategic planning. In this article its continuity is specified, more than this the usage of new component - forest passport of the region is proposed, which will allow to unite sectoral and regional specificity of development of forest potential, concretize its informational sphere. Methods of construction of the strategy of stable development of forest potential are examined. In the context of strategies of development of federal districts strategic tendency for realization of forest potential is marked out.
