New trends and assessment of the development of regional competitive advantage

The article discover trends of development regional’s competitive advantages, they are the shift from strict factors such as low cost production, economies of scale, efficiency of companies, to factors associated with mental characteristics of people, communication, education and training, cultural norms, which are called soft factors. This makes it necessary to take account in assessing of the competitive advantages region’s indicators concerning the status of these factors.
