The use of the special economic zone as the instrument of region economy clusterisation

The forming of areal clusters, which is going on, cannot but influence on the development trends of the native industrial complexes. The economy clusterisation becomes new and more popular direction of the spatial setup for production in Russia. Herewith there is no unified approach to the question about foundations and possible cluster formation in Russia.
     At this work there is the evolution of potential intensification of areal clusters development in Russia by dint of the special economic zone formation. Two strategies of areal clusters development backed on the special economic zone had been mapped out. Practical experience of the firm-resident which is the part of the special economic zone had been analyzed. The conclusion about the need of the instrument extension, which the special economic zone is allowed, had been done. This fact will create the conditions for more intensive region clusterisation.
