The scope of article - energy infrastructure of Moscow agglomeration. The paper includes results of factors, that may have influence upon power supply configuration of a large metropolitan area - urban agglomeration. Key factors include: urban environment quality (ecological factor, as one of its aspects), administrative barriers, power market development and consumption factors, such as workers’ mobility, household electric device fleet, PC and Internet penetration. Measures aimed at shifting energy balance of Moscow region are given in conclusion.
