The idea of profiling of unemployed as contemporary technology of long-term unemployment prevention is considered in the article. Applying the world experience and taking into account the national peculiarities will allow working out the strategy of usage of this program in the activity of employment services and will help to allow reducing the risk of long-term unemployment significantly.
