The Formation of Quality and Competitiveness Policy: regional and national aspects

The problem of Russian enterprises competitiveness increasing tо became central in the conditions of Russian economy transition to the innovation type of development. The paper investigates the World Economic Forum approach to the assessment of countries competitiveness worldwide. Special attention is paid to the formation of regional and national policies aimed at the quality and competitiveness enhancement. The conclusion is drawn that the regional competitiveness and quality enhancement policy should embrace social-economic, ecological, legal and other spheres of activity, managed with the view at realization of national interests as aimed at the same time at enhancement population quality of life.
