To reach strategic business targets and effectively realize the potential of Russian power supply companies it is necessary to form innovation activity system management, which is complex of operations, aimed at achievement and supporting the indispensable level of a company's viability and competitiveness with the use of innovation process control mechanism. To achieve solution of this task it is proposed to use the PDCA model (Deming's cycle), which will allow to evaluate result-oriented effectiveness of innovation activity and overall company potential.
