In transition of economy of Russia to market relations questions of definition of optimum parametres of branch and territorial structures of an economy, rational ways of change of characteristics in the developed territorial systems have acquired the big urgency. Experience of the Lipetsk region on change of branch and territorial structures of an economy is analysed. The conclusion is drawn on necessity of the account of system properties of territory for achievement of expected transformations
