International economic integration is one of the most discussed, although not completely studied economic subjects. Together with an extended integration process in Europe neighbouring territories are also involved in the integration and regionalism. Black Sea Economic Organization (BSEC) is one of these integration hotspots. The Organization consists of 12 countries, located in the Southern part of Europe. Main purpose of this research is to analytically investigate the role of the BSEC in the European integration and to define its place in the intensively growing model of EU. A brief literature overview is also synthesized in order to trace some key questions of the topic. In conclusion authors summary some factors that may complicate theoretical comprehension of integration.
