Conceptual approaches to determining of borderline territories

In the article theoretic questions of determining of borderline territories from a position of the following categories of space, community, group of people and relations among them and also in the context of trans-borders are examined. The moving forces and trends of regions’ economics of Kazakhstan and Russian perimeter on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan are investigated and also the comparative characteristics of economic development of contiguous regions of Kazakhstan and Russia is given. It was noted that an important role in the development of borderline regions plays collaboration with the contiguous regions of neighboring countries.
