The role of local governments in maintenance of population employment of rural territories in modern conditions

World financial and economic crisis aggravated problems of employment and unemployment of the population in Russia living in a countryside. A lot of states take certain measures for levelling of negative influences of crisis on a rural labour market at federal and regional level today. This article shows the importants of local governments in the solving of these questions. programs of employment and creation of conditions for development of rural territories are financed by local budgets. Local governments are able to create the conditions which are necessary for development of private part-time farms as the form of self-employment of rural population.
