Article is devoted questions of formation of regional innovative system on the Republic Kareliya example. Competitiveness of national innovative system, its high-grade functioning substantially depends on strengthening of innovative processes in concrete regions. Practice of the developed countries of the world shows that now quality of economic space of the country is in many respects defined by effective regional systems in innovative sphere.
