In article the estimation of a current situation in the region of small business and revealing of a place of the Smolensk region among other subjects of the Central Federal district of the Russian Federation on dynamics and a level of development of the basic indicators of activity of small enterprises in 2007 is resulted quality of development of small forms of managing in regions TSFO of the Russian Federation Comes to light.
