The analysis of efficiency of power resources use in Russia in comparison with other regions of the world has been carried out in the article. Rates of gross domestic product and power consumption of manufacture changing have been estimated. The dependence between electric power consumption, energy intensity, growth of gross domestic product, emissions of carbonic gas in various regions of the world has been analysed. The necessity of development of a new policy of power consumption and power manufacturing for mitigation of consequences of the economic crisis has been proved.
