Paper deals with the issues of measuring the economic impact of tourist and recreation special economic zones (SEZ) on regional economy in Russia. Experimental quantitative estimates of impact of five SEZ projects on key regional indicators - output, gross regional product and employment rate are presented. Local, regional and budget saving rates of FEZ projects implementation are analysed.
