Problems of the development of the Urals mono-towns with the specialization in the sphere of ferrous metallurgy under the conditions of the crisis

Economic crisis created serious threats for the development of Russian industrial mono - towns. Under the threat of the cities, the branches of specialization of which survive the deepest decrease. Ferrous metallurgy is one of such branches. In the article the problems and the trends of development of the mono-cities with the specialization in the sphere of ferrous metallurgy, located in the Urals, which is been one of the leading metallurgical bases of Russia, are examined. The cities, where the destabilization of situation is most probable are revealed. Proposals on the realization of anticrisis urban policy are formulated.
