This researh describes the current state and the development prospects for the information and telcommunication complex in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). To enhance the technological, scientific, educatuinal, innovative and informational potential of the information and communication technologies (ICT), and to increase the ICT use efficiency in other economical clusters for organizing the high-speed communication systems, the authors offer to regard the information and teelcommunication complex as a separate cluster type in the informational economy sector.
