In the article the components of the steady social and economic development of the Chukotka district taking into account the special features of social, natural and economic conditions are examined. The possibilities of interaction of different approaches to the use of natural resources are determined. Are proposed model, mechanisms and tools of the steady development of region on the basis of rational use of natural resources.
