The priority of stable business operation of an agricultural enterprise lies in its available resources. The article deals with formation and usage patterns of the resource potential under present-day conditions in comparison with the pre-reform period and reinforces the view on any resource as on the determinant factor in the mechanism of functioning of business entities.
